An 18-Wheeler's Engine Control Module May Have the Answers
When a massive 80,000 pound tractor-trailer collides with a 3,500 pound passenger vehicle the damage and destruction is often horrific. Unfortunately all too often, the trucking company's response is to send a clean up crew to get all the information they can for the fight they're going to wage against the victim. The good news is that onboard the 18-wheeler is a black box called an engine control module that can help tips the scales back in favor of the victim by providing objective, unbiased information about conditions at the time of the crash and the trucker's behavior leading up to it.
